  • Secondary Mastery Specialist Programme

    The Secondary Mastery Specialist Programme supports secondary maths teachers to become experts in teaching for mastery and to develop high-performing departments through collaborative professional development.

     

    What will you learn?

    • Develop your understanding and classroom practice in teaching for mastery
    • Work with your department to embed teaching for mastery approaches
    • Develop as a leader of professional development within and beyond your school
    • Engage with a national network of specialists to share practice and experiences

    Programme Structure

    This programme includes:

    • A phased approach, beginning with your own practice, then working with your department, and progressing to supporting other departments as a Local Leader of Maths Education
    • Ongoing collaboration with other specialists through online groups
    • Enrolment in the NCETM’s PD Lead Programme during the second year to support development as a professional development lead
    • Access to further information through case studies and programme diagrams
