    What will you learn? 

    • Develop cultures and practice in their school to enable a higher proportion of students to achieve high grades in GCSE maths and progress to study maths at Level 3. 

     

     

    • Develop knowledge and pedagogical skills which enable equitable access to the most demanding secondary maths topics for all students.  

    Who can take part? 

    This group is only oppen to schools with a high proportion of disadvanted students, please get in touch with our Secondary Lead, Vicci Marshall, to check if your school is eligble. 

    Participants’ schools must commit to:  

    • Releasing them to attend all Work Group sessions. 

    • Allowing them to develop their practice in their classroom and share this with departmental colleagues.  

    • Allowing their students to participate in additional AMSP activities to support higher attainment in maths. 

    What is involved?  

    • Participants will explore effective pedagogical approaches which enable all students to access and deeply understand the content. 

    •  Participants will be expected, where appropriate, to work with colleagues within their own department.
